Boston Group
I'm all about operating at the local level and people talking face to face, so if I'm running this (and have the time, I hope), expect regular events around... probably Cambridge. Only, be open to more than just 60-second pitches, please. I want a regular conversational flow, I want real exchange, I want everyone to be people at our meetings (and in online exchanges as well, ideally), with a minimum of straight, unabashed sales or "no, I'm sorry, I'm not interested," and there the conversation ends. That doesn't mean this group isn't about connecting ends and ideas and people. Just, we all are or have been in the same boat, and we all can find help and inspiration in the most unexpected places, and if you fail to recognize that (by trying to take advantage of people, or thinking you're above everyone), I don't want to do business with you. I'd ask that those who join this group try to think the same way. If we do need a cut and dried sales component, we'll cross that bridge. And if my policies are too hippie-ish for the pan-Boston group, well, I'll accede to being ousted if the case is cogently made against me.
